Signs promoting diversity, inclusion stolen from Clermont County yards [Video]

FORESTVILLE, Ohio (WXIX) – Yard signs depicting artwork that stirred up controversy with the Forest Hills School District in 2023 were stolen from properties in Clermont County last week.

The signs stood in the yards of Stephen Emmert and his neighbors.

Video from a Ring camera shows two people walking along Joetta Drive before heading to Natamic Circle.

Dressed in hoodies, the individuals appear to have nothing in their hands until the video shows them again a few minutes later running down the street with Emmert’s and his neighbors’ signs.

Emmert says he thinks the signs were stolen because of what they stood for.

“It seemed premeditated,” Emmert said. “It did not seem like a crime of opportunity. They knew what they wanted to get. They had a getaway driver. They grabbed the signs, and they just took off.”

Emmert got the sign in 2023 from Nicole Stanforth.
