Search continues for new school superintendent of Springfield [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Members of the Springfield Community and School District held a meeting Tuesday night as they continue their search for a new superintendent

In the third of five meetings, community members met to discuss the qualities they hope to see in the next leader of the public school district.

The school committee is actively searching for a new leader who they say will be as transparent and inclusive as current Superintendent Dan Warwick who is set to retire at the end of this school year.

The next committee meeting will take place on April 23rd at the Brightwood and Lincoln School.

The school committee anticipates finalizing the selection for the next district superintendent by May 30th.
