COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) in support of Special Olympics worldwide will trek through 14 Idaho cities beginning on Monday, April 29.
The five-day-long fundraiser for Special Olympics Idaho is just one of many LETR fundraisers taking place all throughout the country.
According to the LETR’s website, the organization has been fighting for the inclusion and acceptance of individuals with intellectual disabilities since 1981.
Approximately 25 Idaho law enforcement agencies will be participating in this year’s torch run, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
The LETR supporting Special Olympics Idaho is set to begin in Bonners Ferry on April 29 at 8 a.m., making their way to Coeur d’Alene at 12:30 p.m. that same day. Their next stop will be Moscow at 4 p.m. followed by Lewiston at 6:30 p.m.
