COAL CITY, WV (WVNS) – Raleigh County Schools is recognizing Inclusion Week. A special event is being hosted at Coal City Elementary school to celebrate.
Coal City Elementary School hosted an opening ceremony for Inclusion Week.
Students are learning the importance of inclusion no matter the difference or disability.
The Superintendent of Raleigh County Schools and several board members were in attendance.
Laural Smith, the Autism Classroom Teacher at Coal City Elementary School, says differences are normal and should be addressed in a respectful way.
