Artist with cerebral palsy sells paintings across world [Video]

Tyrone Peacock started his art business in 2012. Since then, his social media following has grown into the thousands.

CLEVELAND — With each delicate stroke, Tyrone Peacock creates joy on paper; though, he’s not always sure which shape it will take.

“Depending on the day,” he said.

The colors and realistic nature of his pieces perfectly capture his whimsical soul, nurtured at the United Cerebral Palsy Center of Greater Cleveland, where dedicated direct support staff members help adults and kids with varying disabilities advance their inclusion in the community.

“We’re like family here at UCP. We support each other. We’re here for each other and we build relationships and it’s just a great place to be,” said Julia Holder, community life engagement supervisor.

It’s where Tyrone and his wife, Annmarie Gilmore, feel at home.

“They treat me with respect and kindness,” Tyrone said.

“They really support Tyrone’s goals and our, and my dreams and goals,” Annmarie said.
