2024 Best Buddies Walk Georgia in Brookhaven this weekend [Video]

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Best Buddies Walk Georgia will be hosting its annual Friendship Walk April 20 at Blackburn Park in Brookhaven, Georgia. 

11Alive’s Kaitlyn Ross will join the leading event in the country, supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).  

Some 50,000 participants at more than 70 walks across the globe will join forces to support the Best Buddies programs in schools, workplaces, and communities helping to make the world more welcoming to people with IDD — one friendship, one job, and one life-changing connection at a time. 

The Atlanta Walk will be the kickoff for three walks total in Georgia. BBGA will also have walks in Savannah and Macon, Georgia.
