What AI Innovation is Changing Workplaces?

Allen Blue, co-founder of LinkedIn, states that a major catalyst is changing workplaces in 2024: Large Language Models.

Large language models are advanced computer programs designed to understand and generate human-like text. They’re trained on vast amounts of written material, which helps them learn patterns in language, how words and phrases are commonly used, and various topics.

Think of them as really smart parrots with a huge vocabulary and a good memory for conversations and information. These models can answer questions, write essays, compose emails, and even create stories or poems. They don’t actually ‘think’ or ‘understand’ like humans, but they can mimic human-like responses by predicting what should come next in a sentence based on what they’ve learned from the training data.
