With nearly 100% of Canada’s labour force growth coming from immigration, it is strategically important for employers to make the attraction and retention of newcomer talent a priority. “Good” employers are better able to attract and retain top talent. In this webinar, we explore what it means to be a good employer and what leaders can do to create welcoming and inclusive workplace environments for newcomer talent. We also dig into some of the challenges, barriers and opportunities that may arise for employers and hear from experts in the field of human resources and newcomer employment and settlement services.

This discussion was organized in collaboration with the Workforce Collective and is part of the Employer Perspectives webinar series brought to you by the Immigrant Employment Councils of Canada (IECC) and New Canadians TV Network.

Panellists:
Melenie Neamtz – Workplace Relations Advisor, Niagara Health
Alu McCabe – President, HR Strategies, Trusted Time
Kuda Buhera – Employer Link Recruitment and Training Specialist, YMCA of Niagara
