The Dangers of the Black Achiever [Video]

Many black people believe that the path to freedom lies in social status and large bank balances. The world is replete with black millionaires, black senior officials, black CEO’s, black professors, black celebrities in all genres. The only thing that we lack is true freedom.
Parallels have been drawn between how Europeans treated blacks with how they treat their pets such as dogs. Dogs are respected, treated well, fed well, even spoilt as long as they do as they were bred or purchased to do. If they behave as humans expect then a dog will have a ‘good’ life. However, behave as a dog and it may be abandoned or even euthanised.
Being successful within European societies simply requires that you behave as Europeans expect. To rise the social ladder, you must embrace mainstream values, ideals and beliefs. Not only would you then not have the knowledge and awareness required to bring about real change but also, changing the system that gave your wealth and status may threaten all that you value and have achieved. This is why ‘successful’ black people, black achievers, are important to maintain any system that relies on the control of black people.
If we wish to achieve real freedom we need to build our understanding, our mindset, not our cv or bank balance.
