Islanders pulled Ilya Sorokin and replaced him with Semyon Varlamov not even halfway through Game 3 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes, which was a surprise.

From what l’ve read, Sorokin is one of the reasons Isles even made it to playoffs this year. Game 4 is going to be interesting.

Also noting that the Carolina Hurricanes have started Frederick Anderson for all three games of Round 1, which makes one wonder if he’ll start for Game 4 or if Pyotr Kochetkov will finally get some playing time.
