Shontell Robinson appointed new County Manager for Forsyth County [Video]

Leaders in Forsyth County have named their next County Manager. The Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to appoint Shontell Robinson to the position. She starts in July. Robinson’s appointment is historic. “You know, being the first has a lot of just self-inflicted pressure. And it’s a heavyweight because you also don’t want to be the reason that it is the last. And so it is not lost on me that I’m the first Black and first woman in this position,” Robinson said. “I’ve been blessed with just so many people around me that have seen something in me that sometimes I don’t see in myself and have blessed me with so many opportunities to be in leadership positions.”Robinson said her goal in the first 90 days is to listen to the community.
