A professor is working with a woman to find her loved ones buried at a Baltimore cemetery that has fallen into disrepair.St. Peter’s Cemetery was started in 1851. Large parts of the cemetery are in disrepair, especially in the Black section. Some of the gravestones have sunken in. It’s hard to tell who is buried and where. Many African Americans did not have the money to properly mark graves.Jennifer Johnson has nine relatives buried there.”I’m hoping to find my grandmother, my great grandmother and my great great grandmother’s grave, and a few other relatives,” Johnson said.Towson University forensic science Professor Dana Kollman and her students are working to help figure out where the bodies are buried.”We’re hoping to put names back to people who have lost their headstones and lost their voices in history,” Kollman said.They plan to do so using a ground-penetrating radar survey.”The radar will send a signal …
