High Point mom opens salad dressing company [Video]

Founder of Little Black Dressing Co., Kissie Stroup, is catching the eyes of buyers and the U.S. Golf Association. Find out how her dressings will be up on the menu!

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Business Owner Kissie Stroup says making a salad is not complicated.

It starts with lettuce., your favorite toppings, and the best part for her— the salad dressing.

“My grandmother used to make salad dressing and everything was homemade,” Stroup said.

Inspired by family tradition, Stroup began making her own salad dressings. She created and boxed up flavors she made in her kitchen.

Today, her dressings are in stores across the country. And they’ve even drawn the attention of the United States Golf Association who reached out to Stroup via email twice.

“I thought I was getting pranked. I thought the family was sending me something and I didn’t respond for a long time.”
