Federal officials say Sheetz, which operates a chain of convenience stores and gas stations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina, was discriminating against job applicants through its hiring practices. The company, which employs more than 23,000 people, denies the claim.
