Federal disability benefit a ‘supplement’ not a replacement: minister | Power & Politics

Several disability advocates and groups have expressed anger and frustration that the federal disability benefit laid out in the 2024 budget only amounts to $200 a month. One advisory board member has resigned, saying his voice was not heard. Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities Kamal Khera says the $200 disability benefit is an ‘income supplement, not an income replacement.’
