Disability Awareness Week 2024 Pledge [Video]

Disability Awareness Week is a weeklong celebration at BCPS where students learn the importance of acceptance, respect and inclusion of everyone. Each day of the week highlights a disability and students and staff are encouraged to wear the color associated with the day. During class activities, students learn facts about the disability and understand ways to be a better friend to classmates who have a disability. This year focused on autism awareness, visual impairment, mental health and traumatic brain injuries. This video showcases ways BCPS accepts, respects and includes all students from the classroom to the playground.
