Digital Desk: Nonprofit helping underserved [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – For the past two decades, a non-profit organization known as the APIA Scholars has worked to decrease financial barriers and promote access to higher education for an underrepresented population composed of traditionally marginalized minorities.

Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders are among the most underrepresented groups in higher education.

APIA Scholars’ president and executive director, Noel Harmon, joins the Digital Desk during Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to discuss more.
