NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee has announced that there is still time for businesses to apply for the Super Bowl LIX Supplier Diversity Program.
According to a news release, local diverse businesses now have until April 7 to apply to the program. The deadline was originally set for March 31.
Recycling drop-off sites to return to Jefferson Parish
To qualify, the Super Bowl 59 Suppliers website states that businesses must be 51% owned and operated by a minority, a woman, LGBTQ+, a person with disabilities or a veteran.
Applying companies must also have a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification.
In March, New Orleans City Councilman Eugene Green said that while not every business will be accepted, it is still a great opportunity.
