19-year-old pleads guilty in 2021 attack on Mass. school principal [Video]

A 19-year-old accused of violently assaulting a Boston school principal three years ago when she was 16 pleaded guilty to charges in juvenile court on Friday. Laurette LaRouge, 19, was charged with assaulting and seriously injuring the principal of the Dr. William W. Henderson Inclusion School in Dorchester in November 2021. At the time, Boston Public Schools Superintendent Brenda Cassellius said that the assault occurred during dismissal at the school’s Upper Campus.The principal suffered a concussion and possible rib fracture as well as swelling to her face and the back of her head, a police report said. The report also indicated the mother of the 16-year-old teenager had threatened the principal the night before the incident.LaRouge was 16 at the time of the assault, and why she appeared in juvenile court.
