Vermont lawmakers were back at the statehouse Monday for the veto session and overrode six of Gov. Scott’s vetoes of a potential seven heading into the day. One of the many was the yield bill, which sets average property tax increases to 13.8% statewide. It also includes a study on the future of education finance in Vermont. “Though it’s one of the last steps in this biennium, it’s not the end of the story but rather the beginning of a new piece of work, sending us on a clear deliberative inclusive path to reimagine our education system,” said Rep.
