The latest hero for the U.S. Women’s National Team, Trinity Rodman, shares a last name with her famous father but is quickly coming into her own.
Rodman’s goal in extra time of Team USA’s match against Japan on Saturday lifted the Americans to a 1-0 win, and a date with the winner of Canada and Germany, who are in action on Saturday.
Rodman struck a curler with her left foot to break a suspenseful scoreless tie.
