Before the celebration Maya Moore and Jonathan Irons will be at a Pack the Vote event Friday night, continuing their social justice work.
MINNEAPOLIS — Maya Moore will be honored alongside fellow Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductees on Friday. On Saturday, her jersey will be retired.
“She’s the last of the five dynasty players to be lifted into the rafters on Saturday,” said Carley Knox, president of business operations of the Lynx.
Fans can bid on signed, game-worn Heroine Edition jerseys representing some of the Lynx’s greats.
Knox says this celebration is well-deserved, given that Moore has proven there’s nothing she can’t do.
“She’s just a winner period,” said Knox. “On and off the court, and whatever she puts her mind to, she’s going to be successful at.”
Dominating in the game, she used that influence to make the world a better place.
