Supports Lopez-Walker for Iowa House District 2 [Video]

Recent legislation adversely affecting the lives of Iowa’s most vulnerable citizens has prompted Jessica Lopez-Walker to seek a seat in Iowa House District 2 — a seat currently occupied by a Republican who has dutifully supported Gov. Reynolds’ out-of-state, right-wing think tank proposals.

Jess sees Iowa through additional lenses — those of a Native American and foster parent. She is a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska who has lived in Sioux City for over 20 years. She owns a small business, has worked for five years at FedEx, volunteers for several non-profits, and, with her husband, cares for several foster children. Yet, with all that responsibility, she is so concerned about the future of Iowans that she is willing to go to Des Moines to fight for fairer conditions for all of us.
