Small Business Saturday bringing sales to West Hartford Center [Video]

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Black Friday may have ended, but the sales aren’t done yet. Small Business Saturday is here, a chance to shop small and local.

Several businesses on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford will be having sales. Businesses like Bodhii Boutique.

“We think it’s very important this time of year for everybody to be out shopping small,” says owner Justice Pellegrino.

Why? Pellegrino says the holiday season can make or break a small business, so she’s more than happy to offer promotions for Small Business Saturday.

A holiday created by American Express around 15 years ago to encourage people to support independent retailers.

”Tomorrow we are doing a few different promos. The first is, we’re going to be hosting another small business here, it’s a local skin care studio,” says Pellegrino. “If you show us any receipt from another small business, we’re giving you 15% off your whole purchase. …
