During a discussion on inclusion, the Undivided team discusses children with disabilities who “stim”, and how it affects their participation in a general education setting. Dr. Caitlin Solone says “stimming” is a normal part of some children’s experiences, and it should be normalized.
Dr. Solone is an education advocate, teacher-educator, and Administrator for the Disability Studies program at UCLA, where she teaches courses, develops curriculum, and engages in collaborative research.
Also in the discussion is Lindsay Crain, Undivided’s Head of Content & Community.
