Services announced for Texas business owner killed in shooting [Video]

TYLER, Texas — Funeral services have been announced for a Tyler business owner who was killed Friday afternoon. 

Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez, 38, of Tyler, was shot and killed at Junior’s Taqueria, located at 3815 S SW Loop 323, just after noon on Friday. Police say Scott “Scottie” Lee Goble, 54, of Frost, and Ramirez got into a fight, which resulted in Goble shooting Ramirez, who later died. 

Ramirez was one of the owners of the longtime business. 

According to the announcement, Ramirez’s celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Landmark Baptist Church, located at 11396 State Highway 64 in Tyler. The family asks that those in attendance wear black attire.

This week, support has poured in from social media and at the restaurant as community members honor Ramirez. People placed flowers at the doorstep of the taco shop as a tribute to Ramirez.
