Republicans retain House majority, securing governing trifecta [Video]

The Republican Party has secured the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, which means the GOP will control both chambers of Congress and the White House.According to the Associated Press, Republicans are projected to have at least 218 representatives in the 435-member House. The final tally is not yet known. The balance of power for the Senate was called for the Republicans last week.The last time the GOP had a governing trifecta was the first two years of President-elect Donald Trump’s first term, from 2017 to 2019.
