Play honors Hispanic Heritage Month at Halloran Centre [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – If you want to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, head to Downtown Memphis for Cazateatro’s premiere of “From Here and There!”

The play is written and directed by Dorimar Ferrer and Carlos Lopez.

Cazateatro is Tennessee’s only bilingual theatre group, providing bilingual education and multicultural experiences that showcase the vibrancy and diversity of Latin American art and culture.

“We invite everybody to come and learn a little bit about Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil. You’re going to love it,” said Monica Sanchez, artistic director and co-founder of the Cazateatro Theater Group.

“This is a musical… but it has a lot of things that people maybe didn’t know about these wonderful countries,” Sanchez continued.

You can get your tickets at the theater box office at the Halloran Centre in Downtown Memphis.

Shows are Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m.
