Kids of all sizes, and abilities, are allowed to compete.
BOISE, Idaho — Over 1,000 kids participated in this year’s YMCA Harrison Classic Kids Run. This is also the sixth year that the organizers, the Treasure Valley Family YMCA, partnered with IncludeAbility Inc., to include kids with disabilities in the race.
“We’re delighted that the YMCA provided an inclusive experience at one of the largest kid’s events in the Treasure Valley,” said Trace Dandrea, Volunteer President of IncludeAbility Inc. “We loved seeing kids with disabilities competing alongside able-bodied kids which sends an important message of the importance of inclusion.”
Kids raced from Hill Rd. and good St. to Harrison Blvd. and McAuley Park. The kids that needed help were aided by Boise High School students.
IncludeAbility Inc., is a Boise charity and the race is presented by Idaho Central Credit Union.
