ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The NFL likely will try to ensure the sale of a minority portion of the Buffalo Bills in a private equity deal before the end of the year, according to reporting from Sports Business Journal.

Sports Business Journal is owned by the same company as American City Business Journals, which is the parent company of Buffalo Business First.

In April, the Bills disclosed that the Pegula family hired private bank Allen & Company to “explore a potential sale of a non-controlling, minority interest” in the team.
