LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A new program aimed at empowering Hispanic and Latino entrepreneurs in Lincoln was revealed at a kickoff event on Monday evening.
The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce introduced the 2025 Latino Connect series. The goal is to provide access to valuable business resources and networking opportunities, with the goal of connecting the community.
One challenge the Chamber of Commerce is looking to overcome is the language barrier that some business owners face when coming to Lincoln.
“We’re trying to be a welcoming city,” Raul Sarmiento said. “Embracing not only the culture, but the story behind your business is something that everybody should be allowed to do.”
The Chamber of Commerce said any business is welcome to get in contact with them for help on growing Lincoln’s economy.
