Police have saved two dogs from a massive industrial fire in Mount Isa.
Emergency services arrived at the scene on Duchess Road about 5.30pm on Thursday last week to find columns of black smoke pouring from the blaze.
Fire crews worked to extinguish the inferno while two local police constables began evacuating nearby residents.
They found two dogs at a nearby property and carried them to safety as the fire intensified.
The dogs have since been returned to their owners unharmed but the business suffered significant damage.
Investigations are ongoing into the cause of the fire.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
