EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — One in six children have a sensory need or invisible disability, and Sensory Inclusion 812 is bringing those needs to light by making sure events are inclusive to their needs.

Starting the organization in high school, the now University of Evansville student and athlete, Tyler Myers, is shedding light in big ways by making a sporting event accessible for those with sensory issues.

“Sensory inclusion night should be an every night thing, ” says Myers.

During the game, the organization offered reduced lighting and sound during the event, and goodie bags for kids with essential tools to help with sensory overload.

Brantley Myers suffers from sensory issues and says the tools help him. “It’s not going to be as quiet and when I have the fidget spinner it kind of like makes me have some fun, so I can watch the game, ” says Brantley Myers.
