With the slogan ¡Móntate! (Get On!), emblazoned on promotional t-shirts for sale, the Guagua 47 Community Film and Arts Project officially kicked off on Tuesday, May 3rd in a preview and fundraising activity, held at the Taller Puertorriqueño. The activity was a joint initiative of the director of the Project, Alba Martínez, and the director of the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival, Marángeli Mejía-Rabell. Both artistic-cultural entrepreneurs addressed the public to present their respective projects, talk about their cultural scope and thank the attendees for their enthusiastic support.
