KU Health System begins search for participants in latest research endeavor [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – The University of Kansas Health System is set to accept hundreds of thousands of participants in its latest research endeavor on the diversity of medical backgrounds.

The University of Kansas Health System says that on Wednesday, Aug. 14, it is set to begin accepting participants for its latest National Institutes of Health effort, the All of Us research program.

KU Health officials noted that the program is meant to advance precision medicine research to enable clinicians to tailor patient care by accounting for their differences in biology, behavior and environment.

To that end, University officials indicated that the program has created a national research resource to include comprehensive de-identified health information from participants who reflect the diversity of the nation.
