Knox Co. parents sue event organizer after child suffers injuries in foam-filled bounce house, blacks out [Video]

The incident happened in August. At least two children suffered injuries, WBIR has previously reported.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The parents of a Knox County girl hurt in August while playing in a foam-filled bounce house are suing the business group that hosted the attraction as well as the owners of the equipment.

Eric Parker and Kristyn Parker allege their 7-year-old daughter suffered numerous injuries and had to be resuscitated after being trampled in the bounce house featured at a community gathering, the Powell Station Celebration, put on by the Powell Business and Professional Association at Powell Station Park.

Knoxville attorney Lance Baker, filing the complaint in Knox County Circuit Court on behalf of the Parkers, named the business association and Party Bounce House Rentals of Knoxville as the defendants. Jeff Bagwell of the business association said Friday the group hadn’t been served yet with the complaint and he couldn’t comment.
