KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Walmart, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City and The Latino Coalition held a session for local businesses to pitch their products for a chance to end up on the shelves of the biggest retailer in the world.
The entrepreneurs were able to pitch their products and receive feedback from a Walmart sourcing representative, and some could be invited to Walmart’s “Open Call” event in Bentonville, Arkansas to potentially get their products on Walmart’s shelves, which has a reach of millions of customers.
Chris and Pam Fields of Fieldsville Seasonings and Rubs attended the “Road to Open Call.” They were excited for the opportunity to pitch their product; seven seasonings and a marinade that are made right here in Kansas City.
Besides getting a chance to end up on the shelves of Walmart nationwide, the Fields will also receive feedback from Walmart representatives.
