IndyGo will offer free rides on Transit Equity Day. [Video]

INDIANAPOLIS — In recognition of Transit Equity Day, IndyGo will offer free rides on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025.

The IndyGo Foundation will also use the occasion to award their annual bus fare grants to local nonprofit groups and organizations.

Transit Equity Day, honoring civil rights leader Rosa Parks, was first celebrated in 2021. The foundation said the event is an effort to ensure that public transportation is accessible, equitable and inclusive.

“We are thrilled to recognize charitable organizations throughout the Indianapolis area who join with us to ensure that our neighbors have access to an essential, often forgotten, basic need, transportation.
