Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking hereDr. Bronwyn Turner, an emergency veterinarian with Carolina Veterinary Specialists, says one reason her office is busier is because they are the only ones available to treat animals. “Primary vets are closed, and because we, as emergency, we’re open 24/7,” she said. She says another big reason they are so busy is because Thanksgiving often means large quantities of human food around for pets to get into on accident or without their owners noticing.“Thanksgiving, that’s our big feast holiday,” she said. “And so animals are getting into fattier foods that they’re not used to eating or just different foods in general.”Keep up with the latest …
