Community organizer Sheletta Brundidge has plans to bring 500 Black entrepreneurs to the capitol, but she’s concerned many lawmakers won’t be around.
SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota State Capitol is often referred to as “the people’s house.”
Every year hundreds of events are held at the Minnesota State Capitol that bring countless people together under one roof.
One of those events is Black Entrepreneur Day, held on Feb 3. this year. The event is organized by community organizer Sheletta Brundidge.
“We’re in our 3rd year this year,” Brundidge says. “We bring in business owners from across the state.”
This year, Brundidge expects to host around 500 Black entrepreneurs and business owners so they can meet with lawmakers face to face.
