It’s a business formed out of friendship and art– all thanks to Guilford Technical Community College.Through two pottery classes at the school, two local women discovered a hobby that brings them so much joy, creativity and a whole lot of laughter.Linda Beitz and Beth Shull started their pottery business this year.”We’re just having fun right now,” said Beth Shull. “Because we always say two heads are better than one.”With Beitz and Shull, there’s never a dull moment.”They are just so enthusiastic,” said GTCC visual arts associate professor Gaines Bailey.The two have been friends for years, yes, but only recently did they become business partners.”You have to have good hobbies that bring you joy,” Shull said.Their hobby, which began in 2022, stemmed from simply just trying out a pottery class at GTCC.”We’ve never met a potter we didn’t like,” Beitz said. “Because they’re always nice.
