Incumbent Democrat Rep. Jared Golden hopes to continue to represent the people of Maine’s second district in Congress.“I think it’s important, just by virtue of who the people of this district are, that their representative be someone who’s going to be independent, an exercise of sound judgment,” the three-term representative said.Golden grew up in Leeds and served in the Marines before entering into politics.
