First GOP bill after Trump hit aims at unfit ‘DEI’ women hires in Secret Service [Video]

House Republicans want women Secret Service agents to meet the same fitness standards as men, in their first legislative effort since the failed assassination hit on Donald Trump.

GOP lawmakers introduced a bill this week to implement ‘sex-neutral’ fitness tests in the service and require female agents to match up to their male counterparts.

It comes amid fears that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies led to ill-equipped women agents working at the rally in Pennsylvania where a 20-year-old sniper shot and grazed former president Trump.

It also comes as Secret Service boss Kimberly Cheatle resigned on Tuesday, under pressure from Republicans and Democrats over the failures on July 13.

Cheatle had pushed to get women in 30 percent of Secret Service roles by 2030, where they are subject to less rigorous fitness evaluations than men.
