Diversity, equity and Inclusion are talk topics in Kenosha [Video]

“Discussing, Educating and Informing on DEI” is the topic of the next free Courageous Conversation in Kenosha, to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Kenosha Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave.

The free, in-person discussion is sponsored by the Kenosha Coalition for Dismantling Racism. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Marvin Bembry, a certified leadership trainer/coach and organizational consultant, who is president of MKB Leadership Transformation, will lead an interactive 90-minute conversation about DEI. Diversity, equity and inclusion efforts grew in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd in May of 2020, but more recent backlash has led some companies to reduce or end those programs.

Bembry has more than 25 years of leadership experience and has coached leaders across many industries, including corporations, educational institutions, government and nonprofit sectors.
