Air Force Chief of Staff General David Allvin said no curriculum or content highlighting the Tuskegee Airmen was removed from Basic Military Training.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — In President Donald Trump’s first week in office, he signed an executive order to terminate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs from government agencies, including the military.

Some worried that with this order, the history of the Tuskegee Airmen would be removed from the military’s training. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first group of Black pilots in World War II.

10TV reached out to the Air Force about the concern. 

Lt. Gen. Brian S. Robinson, Air Education and Training Command commander, provided a statement to 10TV saying that no curriculum or content highlighting the Tuskegee Airmen or Women Air Force Service Pilots has been removed from Basic Military Training.
