Officials in Lancaster encourage Pennsylvanians to shop small and locally on Cyber Monday.
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Another sale, another happy customer at CI Records & Skates in downtown Lancaster.
Black Friday at the store may be over, but owner Jeremy Weiss says his holiday shopping sale is far from finished.
“Cyber Monday is fairly new in the 30-year range that we have, and I think it’s really awesome to give the opportunity to people who don’t live in the area to patronize local businesses,” Weiss said.
Weiss has owned the store since 1995.
The event is a way for people to support the city’s small businesses without having to leave home.
“It’s wonderful that it’s spilled into retail,” Weiss said. “People are starting to realize that if, ‘hey I found this business through the internet, then I might get a great deal.’”
