SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women’s basketball team improved to 6-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Saturday with a win over MSU Denver, 63-49.
The only other time that the Yellow Jackets have started 6-0 in the RMAC was during the 2015-16 season.
After a close first quarter, BHSU pulled away in the second after outscoring the Roadrunners, 19-7.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Bradie Schlabs who posted her second career double-double with a career high 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Plus, Morgan Hammerbeck finished with 18 points followed by Kalla Bertram with 16.
Black Hills State is now 10-3 on the season.
The Yellow Jackets will try and improve to 7-0 in the RMAC as they travel to Las Vegas, NM to play New Mexico Highlands on Jan. 16.
