EMMET COUNTY, MI — A Cheboygan man was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of failure to stop at the scene of an accident that resulted in death in connection with a hit-and-run crash that took place Monday, according to UpNorthLIve. Jerry Stone III, 25, is accused of hitting and killing a Colorado woman with his truck around 7:25 a.m. Monday while the woman was jogging along U.S. 31 near Luce Road.
Police arrested Stone Monday morning after his black Dodge pickup truck was spotted at a local business. Stone was also charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine. Bond was set at $150,000 cash/surety and Stone is due back in court on Aug. 14.
