Clarington Black Vendor Village
Celebrating Black-owned business and culture is the theme behind the Black Vendor Village, which will take over the Garnet Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville this weekend as the municipality kicks off Black History Month.
Clarington is inviting everyone in the community and beyond to celebrate, support, and experience the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of Black-owned businesses in the community on Saturday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Black Vendor Village is more than just shopping; it’s an experience for the family and a chance to honour the rich cultural contributions of the Black community with shopping, entertainment, food and more.
The opening ceremony, featuring MC Tracy J, happens from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with welcoming remarks from Mayor Adrian Foster, Regional Councillor Granville Anderson and Clarington’s Anti-Black Racism Task Force
