CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A group of strangers are now bonded by a sisterhood of sorts.

“To be able to come to spaces where we feel safe, where we feel seen and heard and understood without having to explain ourselves. So we can just be. Literally just be,” Keshia Colleton said. She’s the creator of ‘Melanin Muscles Mascara Fit Club’ (MMM Fit Club).

The Charleston native founded the group in 2018. She says the goal is to get women of color like herself to take the next step of their health journey and to know that they’re not alone doing it.
